Guides for getting paid

Short, practical walkthroughs of everything in the console. If something isn't covered here, support will answer.

Setting up your digest

Open Settings from the console sidebar. Give your publication a name — it appears at the top of every invoice — and a short initial for the badge.

Add the sections your readers can choose from, then set your plans: a name, a length in months and a price for each. Delete the ones you don't use.

Set your payment terms in days. New invoices are due that many days after they're issued.

Adding subscribers

On the dashboard, use Add subscriber with the reader's name, email and the sections they take. Their plan can be changed whenever they switch.

Subscribers are private to your account. Nobody else can see them.

Sending an invoice

Use Create invoice, choose the subscriber, the plan and the billing period. The invoice is numbered automatically and opens straight away.

Print it or save it as a PDF from the invoice page to attach to an email.

Taking payment

Every unpaid invoice has a Pay by card button that opens a secure payment page. When the payment goes through, the invoice is marked paid and recorded.

For a bank transfer or cash, use Mark as paid on the invoice and we'll record it against the same invoice.

How fees work

CSD Meridian is free to use. We take a percentage of each invoice once it is paid — fees start from 2% and the percentage can be adjusted in Settings.

You decide who covers it. If the reader covers it, the fee is shown as a separate line on the payment page. If you absorb it, the reader only sees your subscription price.

Unpaid and cancelled invoices are never charged. The percentage saved on an invoice at the moment it's created is the one that applies to it.

Your account and data

Sign in with an email and password or with Google. Everything you create belongs to your account and is only visible to you.
